Refunds and Cancellation

Effective 22 October 2026. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Cancel a subscription

You can cancel Pro at any time, in any of these ways:

• in ChordPen: Account, then Manage or cancel your subscription;
• through the link in the receipt email Paddle sent you, or at paddle.net;
• by email to support@chordpen.com, or by registered mail to [to be completed]. Please give the email address of your account.

Pro continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Your charts stay in your account: on Free you can view, play, export and delete all of them, and create or change charts while your library holds at most five.

Consumers in Israel: your cancellation takes effect within three business days of your request, and the part of the period you paid for that remains after it is refunded to you.

Refunds

• Your first payment, in full, within 14 days. If you are not happy with Pro, ask within 14 days of your first payment for any plan - monthly, yearly or the founding lifetime - and it is refunded in full. No reason is needed.
• Renewals are not refunded once they have been charged, except where the law gives you a right to it (for example, a yearly renewal in the United Kingdom, or a cancellation in Israel as above), or where a refund is fair because something went wrong on our side.
• To ask for a refund, use the link in Paddle's receipt email or paddle.net, or write to support@chordpen.com. Refunds are made by Paddle, to the payment method you used.
• A refund of a subscription or of the founding lifetime ends Pro, and your account returns to Free.

Your rights under the law

This policy adds to the rights the law gives you and does not replace them. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, and consumers in Israel to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days; the refund of your first payment above meets or goes beyond both. If Pro is faulty or not as described, you have the remedies the law of your country provides.
